After a comfortable flight from Europe, you will arrive in about 13 to 17 hours in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. From here, hop in the car and drive about 2.5 hours to the town of Batangas, followed by a 45-minute ferry ride to Puerto Galera.
Now if you arrive very late in Manila, we will arrange a hotel so you can travel to Puerto Galera a day later, fully rested.
Once you arrive in Puerto Galera you will check into the dive resort ‘El Galleon Dive Resort’. Your home for the next 7 nights.
Day 3 to 8 | Unlimited diving Puerto Galera
During your stay at El Galleon Dive Resort, you have the opportunity for unlimited diving with Asia Divers, one of the best diving schools in the region.
Puerto Galera boasts an impressive variety of dive sites. For advanced divers, Canyons is a challenging site with strong currents and schools of jackfish, barracuda and mackerel. Fans of macro photography should not miss Coral Cove, where you can spot colorful nudibranches and squid. Sabang Wrecks offers an exciting wreck diving experience, with colorful reef fish such as scorpion fish and groupers. Verde Island, famous for its colorful walls and unique inhabitants such as flamboyant cuttlefish and pygmy seahorses, is a definite highlight. For a special night dive, Black Water Diving is highly recommended: dive into the depths and discover fascinating deep-sea animals in their natural habitat.
After a day of diving, relax by the pool or enjoy dinner overlooking the beautiful Bay of Puerto Galera.
Day 9 | Transfer from Puerto Galera to Anilao
After a final morning and breakfast in Puerto Galera, travel on to Anilao to look for more critters while diving in the Philippines. The transfer from Puerto Galera to Anilao begins with a boat ride from El Galleon Pier to Batangas Pier and then a short drive to Buceo Anilao Dive Resort. Anilao is an absolute top destination for macro photography enthusiasts and is known for its exuberant underwater biodiversity.
Arriving in Anilao, you check in, at the Buceo Anilao Resort. Again, you will stay here for 7 nights.
Day 10 to 14 | Unlimited diving Anilao
During your stay at Buceo Anilao Dive Resort, you will also make four dives daily, including night dives.
Anilao, known worldwide as the mecca for macro photography and muck diving, offers unparalleled underwater experiences for beginners and advanced divers alike. Secret Bay is a world-renowned muck diving site where macro photographers will find rare critters such as harlequin shrimp and mandarin fish. At Twin Rocks you will find colorful soft corals, anemone fish and numerous reef fish, perfect for macro photography. Mainit Point challenges experienced divers with strong currents and larger pelagic species such as tuna. Kirby’s Rock is a favorite among photographers because of pygmy seahorses and leaf fish. Sombrero Island offers colorful drop-offs and coral gardens, while Black Water Diving at night offers a fascinating look into the depths, with unique deep-sea creatures such as larval octopus. Anilao is an absolute must for diving enthusiasts!
Day 15 to 17 | Anilao above water and back home
After days full of diving adventures, it’s time to relax. On your free day, you can choose to hike through the Anilao Eco Park or take an excursion to the nearby Taal Volcano. If you prefer to take it easy after all the diving, you can relax by the resort’s pool and fall asleep on the lounger.
On day 16, you will say goodbye to Anilao and travel back to Manila. After a 2.5-hour drive, you will have time to spend your last Philippine Pesos at the airport before flying back to Europe later that day.
