A 3 mm wetsuit is usually recommended for diving in Tubbataha Reef, especially from March to June when water temperatures range between 28-30°C. This thickness provides sufficient protection from the water temperature while still being flexible enough for comfort during dives. For divers who are sensitive to cold or on longer dives, a 5mm wetsuit may also be more comfortable, especially when temperatures drop toward 26-28°C during January to March. The choice of wetsuit also depends on personal preference diving on a liveaboard in the Philippines.
