After a very successful group trip late last year, we are returning to Dahab in November 2026 with a new group.
Dahab is a special place in Egypt. No big all-inclusive resorts, but small-scale hotels, diving schools and a promenade full of cozy restaurants. The hippie-like village attracts mostly divers and freedivers and has a relaxed, lively atmosphere. Along the coast are fantastic dive sites, including the world-famous Blue Hole, as well as Islands and Canyon.
The dives in Dahab are suitable for every level. You will find dives with an easy profile, as well as more challenging dives with passages and a deeper profile. Some dive sites are known for their beautiful corals, while others are known for their unusual formations. Visibility is good, the marine life rich and varied. This makes Dahab an ideal destination for both beginners and experienced divers, as well as for those who like to have fun and liveliness nearby after diving.
We make two dives daily in and around Dahab. Diving here is best known for the Blue Hole and the many shore dives you can easily make from the shore. In addition, a day trip to Ras Mohamed National Park is on the program. Here we can do unlimited diving and at night we sleep under the stars in tents, a special experience.
Margriet has been to Dahab before and is happy to take you to her favorite spots in the village.

Day 1 | Trip to Dahab
Sunday, November 8, 2026
The journey to Dahab begins with a flight to Sharm El Sheikh. After arriving in Sharm El Sheikh, you will be picked up by hotel staff and the drive to Dahab will take about one hour.
Upon arrival in Dahab, check in at the hotel and immediately visit the dive center, Liquid Adventures Dahab to discuss dive plans and make preparations for the next few days. The spacious dive center offers excellent storage for your diving equipment, which you can leave behind with peace of mind.
The rest of the day you can relax, explore downtown Dahab and find a nice restaurant for dinner.
Day 2 - 4 | Diving around Dahab
Monday, Nov. 9 to Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026
For the next few days, we will be doing two dives a day! We dive around Dahab, a wonderful mix of shore diving and boat diving. Sometimes we drive by car to a dive site and start the dive right from the shore; other times we get on a boat for a dive at one of the slightly more remote sites.
Each dive site in Dahab has its own unique characteristics. From the spectacular and famous dive sites like the Canyon, the Blue Hole and the Bells, to the lesser known but equally special spots like Lighthouse and Umm Sid. Our own house reef, right in front of the dive center, is ideal for night diving or to freshen up at the beginning of your trip.
Underwater, a vibrant world full of color and movement awaits. You may encounter colorful reef fish such as lionfish and parrotfish, curious barracudas and schools of snappers, and with luck, a turtle or octopus. The coral is beautiful: from soft corals to vast hard reef structures.
Day 5 | Diving and camping in Ras Mohammed
Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026
An absolute highlight of the week is the day trip to Ras Mohammed National Park – one of the most beautiful places in Egypt for diving AND camping under the stars. We leave on day 4 after we have completed our 2 dives around Dahab. Ras Mohammed is about 20 km from Sharm el Sheikh and it is just over an hour’s drive. We spend a night here sleeping in tents on the beach, under the stars. It’s a fantastic experience. Before going to sleep, of course, we have dinner in the large communal Bedouin tent and a campfire.
The next day we go diving! Ras Mohamed has been a protected area since 1983. The dives here are among the best in the world, with famous sites such as Yolanda Reef, Anemone City and Shark Observatory. It is a nice change from the dives we do in Dahab. We make 3 dives here, and between dives we return to the beach and have our surface interval in the communal Bedouin tent. After the last dive, we return to Dahab.
Day 6 & 7 | Diving around Dahab
Friday, Nov. 13 & Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026
After waking up in Ras Mohamed and having breakfast there, we return to Dahab. We have 2 more days to dive in Dahab and enjoy the sunshine.
There are still plenty of dive sites to explore, such as Islands, known for its beautiful hard coral formations that rise from the sea floor like small islands. Between the lagoons and the maze of coral you will see plenty of reef fish and regular schools of barracuda. The dive site is easily accessible from shore, making it suitable for all levels of divers. Snorkelers and underwater photographers are also well catered for, with chances of seeing turtles and eagle rays up to about 20 meters deep. Di is Margaret’s absolute favorite dive site and you will see why while diving.
There is also time to explore Dahab itself. There is a beautiful bay to watch the sunset, or we can make a small climb to get a fantastic view of the diving village.
Day 8 | Return trip
Sunday, November 15, 2026
After a wonderful and enjoyable group trip in Dahab, it is unfortunately time to say goodbye. Today we will be transferred back to the airport of Sharm El Sheikh to continue our journey home. We will fly back from Sharm to Amsterdam at 18:00.
