Day 1 & 2 | The journey to Bali
Today your journey starts with a flight to beautiful Bali. From Europe you can sometimes fly to Bali with a direct flight, but often with one stopover in about 16 to 18 hours. Upon arrival at the airport, the driver will be waiting for you to drive you to the resort in about three hours.
If you arrive very late in the evening, we recommend an overnight stay near the airport first so that you can get to the resort well rested in the morning.
Day 3 to 7 | Bali diving & excursions
Over the next 5 days you will spend 3 days diving (6 dives total) and have 2 days free for various excursions.
Bali’s mesmerizing reefs are like works of art from the depths of the ocean. With more than 50 diving and snorkeling sites from the Siddhartha dive center, you have many choices. Directly in front of the resort is a beautiful house reef, part of the Kubu Marine Park, and the wreck of the Boga. Legendary locations such as Tulamben and Amed, including the famous USAT Liberty Wreck, are nearby. In the right season (Sep-Nov), you can book an on-site diving trip to Nusa Lembongan to see the Mola Molas.
The excursion options are endless, including temple visits, rice field excursions, waterfall hikes, hot springs, biking in Ubud, bird parks, markets and quad/buggy tours.

Then continue your journey to Riung via Ende. Along the way, you will make several stops, such as at the bustling Ndua Ria Fruit Market and the traditional village of Saga of the Lionese tribe.

During the boat ride, enjoy a delicious lunch on one of the remote islands, surrounded by breathtaking views. After lunch, you will depart for Bajawa. Along the way, visit the Soa hotspring, where hot water bubbles up from the ground. If you want, you can take a relaxing bath here.

Next, visit Liang Bua Cave, where the bones of the short Homo Floresiensis, also known as the “hobbit,” were recently unearthed by scientists. An intriguing place full of archaeological significance.
You will stay overnight at the comfortable Spring Hill Bungalow or Sindha Hotel in Ruteng, where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

After about an hour of trekking from Denge, you’ll reach Wae Lomba, a beautiful creek where you can relax in the natural pools before continuing your trek.

Day 16 to 18 | Diving in Komodo National Park
The next 3 days are entirely devoted to diving. You will make two dives daily with Sebayur Dive (5* PADI), based at the Komodo Resort. The resort’s five specially designed dive boats ensure that every dive is a success. Divers are divided into small groups based on their experience.
Diving highlights in Komodo include Batu Bolong, a hotspot for vibrant coral reefs and vibrant marine life and Manta Point, where you will come face to face with majestic manta rays. There are also breathtaking dive sites such as Castle Rock and Crystal Rock, each with their unique biodiversity. The rich coral formations, home to pygmy seahorses and exotic nudibranchs, offer a visual spectacle at many of the dive sites. At Komodo you see big and small stuff.
Diving in Komodo means that you will often encounter drift diving. Currents are a constant factor here, changing by day, hour and even by dive. But it is precisely these currents that make Komodo so unique and vibrant. They bring nutrients that are essential to marine life here. Plankton, the main food for corals and small fish, attracts larger predators such as sharks, tuna and barracudas. Giant manta rays and even whale sharks are also coming down on the plankton. The strong currents in Komodo enrich the marine life, which is precisely what makes diving so spectacular.
Day 19 | Komodo Dragon spotting
You can’t dive today (because you’re flying tomorrow). For today, the resort has two perfect alternatives you can book to end your diving vacation in Komodo National Park well.
Komodo trek on Padar Rinca with peak ascent: goon yourself an adventurous day by exploring the majestic landscapes of Padar and Rinca. Two islands in Komodo National Park. Rinca best known for the Komodo Dragons. Along the way you will enjoy panoramic views, and chances are you will encounter the Komodo monitor lizards in their natural habitat.
Sunset bat flight on Rinca: thereis no better way to end your day than to witness the spectacle of thousands of “Flying Foxes” bats silhouetted against the evening sky. As the sun’s rays give way to the colorful hues of sunset, Rinca awakens to life.
Day 20 & 21 | Return home
After breakfast departure at 08:30 to Labuan Bajo for your first flight back to Bali or possibly Jakarta. From Bali or Jakarta it is usually a night flight back to home.
