Diving vacation to: Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa
Your vacation adventure begins at Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa, located in the South Ari atoll and following the “One Island, One Resort” concept that the Maldives is known for.
This island is 900 meters long and 250 meters wide, about 55 acres and surrounded by a spectacular house reef, a short distance from the expansive sandy beach.
Vilamendhoo is the perfect island for divers.
It has a beautiful house reef AND there are more than 50 nearby dive sites.
Throughout the year you can see manta rays and whale sharks here.
In addition, there is enormous biodiversity on the vast reefs.
Best travel time: Whale sharks are spotted here throughout the year.
As are manta rays.
Still, we recommend going here between November and April.
You then have the best chance of good weather and little wind.
Nanny service: Good to know, a nanny service is offered at Vilamendhoo.
This means parents can confidently leave their young children with the resort’s babysitter for a few hours while they make some great dives of their own.
