    We are making this special expedition to Northern Norway with a group of Dutch and Belgian travelers accompanied by underwater photographer Thomas Van Puymbroeck<\/strong>. Even before departure we will get to know each other so that we can board the MS Virgo<\/strong> as a group and experience this unique Arctic adventure together. <\/p>

    During this period, large schools of herring migrate into the fjords, followed by orcas and humpback whales. That makes this area one of the few places in the world where you have the chance to see these impressive animals up close, both from the ship and snorkeling in the water. The rugged fjords, winter landscape and short days make the experience extra special. <\/p>

    During the trip, Thomas shares his knowledge and experience with the group. He gives practical tips on underwater photography and helps you capture special moments with orcas and humpback whales in the best possible way. Between activities there is plenty of room to share experiences, discuss photos and learn more about the behavior of these animals. <\/p>

    Aboard the MS Virgo<\/strong>, a comfortable expedition ship specially equipped for these trips, we explore the fjords daily in search of activity in the water.       \"\"Thomas Van Puymbroeck is an award-winning Belgian underwater photographer with more than 20 years of experience. He currently works at the public aquarium in Antwerp, where he obtained his diving license and discovered his passion for underwater photography.<\/span> He is an ambassador for OM System, Mares and Sea & Sea, and his work has been published in National Geographic and Diving magazine, among others.<\/span> In 2022, he became Belgian underwater photography champion and was named Photographer of the Year.<\/span> Thomas is committed to shark conservation and uses his photography to raise awareness about the importance of these animals to the marine ecosystem.<\/span>
