The water temperature ranges from about <strong>23\u00b0C in the winter<\/strong> to <strong>29\u00b0C in the summer<\/strong>, so a 3 mm wetsuit is sufficient for most of the year. <\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Underwater visibility is usually between <strong>20 and 40 meters<\/strong>. Because Mauritius is largely protected by a coral reef, currents are limited at many dive sites. Only at a few deeper dive sites can the currents be somewhat stronger.  <\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The best time to dive is <strong>from April through June<\/strong> and <strong>from October through December<\/strong>.
