Diving Bali - the island of the gods
There are several dives to be done in Bali, each with its own particularities. A brilliant color palette, green from the sawahs and jungle, fiery red from the sunset at the temple of Tanah Lot. Or the colors of a Hindu procession, the intense hue underwater and, of course, the white beaches and azure sea. In Bali, all colors are represented.
For example, there is Tulamben on the northeast side of Bali where you can dive in black volcanic sand. Or go in search of the strange mola mola around the island of Lembongan. And at the western tip of Bali, against Java, you’ll find Bali’s steepest drop offs near the island of Pemuteran. A brilliant color palette, green from the sawahs and jungle, fiery red from the sunset at the temple of Tanah Lot. Or the colors of a Hindu procession, the intense hue underwater and, of course, the white beaches and azure sea. In Bali, all colors are represented.
Diving Bali Nusa Lembongan
Some of Bali’s most spectacular diving can be done around a group of 3 island just off the coast of Bali. Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida are the best known of diving islands. All three islands are surrounded by fantastic dive sites. You can see the manta rays all year, the mola mola especially from July to October.
Bali Amed diving
Diving in Bali is mainly done around Amed. Here the soil has black volcanic sand and you will find a true Macro paradise. Also located here is the famous USS Liberty wreck and is inhabited by the colorful mandarin fish.
Dive sites like Bali offer top-class muck diving with mimic octopuses, ghostpipefish and much more. Ahmed Wall and Pyramids are easy drifts with turtles, riding sharks, rays and many species of reef fish. The USS Liberty Wreck is home to barracudas, beautiful corals, bumphead parrotfish and macro life. Or dive at the Japanese wreck with even more macro and gorgonians on a slowly sloping reef.
